Ken Dyda Civic Center Sign Unveiling

The Ken Dyda Civic Center sign was unveiled during a ceremony on September 10, 2022. Councilmember Dyda has lived on the Peninsula for 60 years, was active in the Save Our Coastline movement that led to the incorporation of the City in 1973, and elected to the inaugural City Council. He has served a combined 19 years on the City Council, twice serving as Mayor in 1978-79 and in 2016. Councilmember Dyda served on many commissions and committees during the past 50 years.
